To better serve our customers, we have compiled a list of common questions and answers about our products, artwork, and ordering information. This FAQ page is divided into sections to help you find answers to common questions about signs, banners, signs, orders, and graphics. If you have any questions, please use the form below.
What materials can I use to build my sign?

The font or typeface refers to the letters or characters that are used in your existing branding, that will translate into your signage. Some fonts may look great in fonts are difficult to read. We can help you consider factors such as visibility, readability, noticeability and legibility when choosing the font for your sign.
How long does it take to make a sign?
The time it takes to produce a sign varies based on the materials used, the intended use, the complexity and our existing workload. Our team works incredibly hard to meet your deadlines and turnaround times. Once your design proof is approved and a deposit is paid, we can then provide you with a solid installation date (or a production date if installation isn’t required).
How much does it cost?
The price of your sign will depend entirely on the materials used, the size, and any other premium extras; for example illumination. A member of our sales team will build a quote that is unique to your requirements, and if you have a budget in mind already our team can recommend a solution that is friendly on your pocket.
How soon can you have it done?
We are a family run business that manufactures and produces everything in-house. Our great reputation means we are in high demand, and take on various large projects throughout the year; which means our lead time can vary. At present, we estimate our lead time to be two weeks from when your design proof is approved. If you have a certain deadline, we can liaise with our production manager to see if we can meet your requirements.

What is a vehicle wrap?
A vehicle wrap is a protective vinyl covering that can replace your car’s paint. It could have just one colour or a complicated pattern or design. To your exact specifications, it will be designed by our in-house graphic designers. The design will then be laminated, printed on vinyl, and applied to your vehicle.
What materials do you use?
3M, Hexis, Metamark, Oracal, Mactac, Avery Dennison, Nu-Coat, LG Hausys, APS, Stahls, KPMF, KleenTear, KleenView, and Rtape are among the brands we use. The material we choose is determined by the colour, finish, and pattern you like. We have numerous samples on site that you may look at, so please let us know and come in to make your selection.
What finishes are available?
Our high quality vinyl is available in hundreds of colours and textures such as glossy, matte, and brushed. To make something truly one-of-a kind, use a single colour, a single finish, or layers. The possibilities are literally endless.
How long do vehicle wraps last?
The durability of a vehicle wrap is determined by the quality of the materials, printing, and installation. The majority of vehicle wraps last between 5-7 years on average. When taken care of properly, Poppy Signs vehicle wraps should last at least 9 years. The majority of our vehicle wraps outlast the actual vehicles.
Will you apply materials that I have bought?
What if I need something designing?
Poppy Signs has a skilled in-house graphic design team. Utilizing the most recent technology, we collaborate closely with our clients throughout the entire process to make sure that their message and branding are exactly as they had envisioned them. Before moving on to the printing stage, we ensure that we have approval for any final mock-ups or proofs.
Does vehicle wrapping affect my insurance?
A vehicle wrap is considered a modification. It is essential to contact your insurance company before wrapping or modifying your vehicle, since there may be a fee.
What kind of vehicles can be wrapped?
Just about everything, from cars, vans, trucks, tractors, motorcycles, buses, boats, and motorhomes. You name it, and we’ll probably be able to wrap it. Check out our gallery to see how others have used vinyl wraps.
Can you wrap the inside of my vehicle?
Depending on your request, we can even do the inside of your doors so they match your outer wrap. There are additional charges for this request, and it will obviously increase the labour time of your wrap.
How should my vehicle wrap be maintained?
Take good care of your vehicle wrap and try to limit machine washing. Avoid using any kind of scraper, power washing, or abrasive polishes because these activities can harm the vinyl on the vehicle. Read our article on vinyl aftercare.
Is vehicle wrapping cheaper than painting?
Vehicle wrapping can be a less expensive choice than painting, with the added bonus of being able to easily remove the wrap in the future and reveal the car’s original paintwork. It also protects your paintwork, which is an added benefit! A car wrap, regardless of design, can provide a higher return on investment. A wrap is currently less expensive than a full-body respray, especially if you desire a detailed design.
Where should I place my images?
If you choose to have digitally printed logos, text, and images, we recommend keeping them on a flat service when adding them to your vehicle. If you place them on curved edges, the design may become distorted, losing the overall look and feel you originally imagined.
