When local tattoo artist Mandy Crowther approached us with a heartfelt request, we knew this was no ordinary project. Mandy, a passionate fan of actor and entertainer Shane Richie, wanted to turn her vehicle into a moving tribute—not only to her idol but more importantly, to her late father, Noel Rourke, who sadly passed away from bowel cancer in October.
In memory of her dad and to raise awareness and funds for cancer-related charities, Mandy had the bold idea of wrapping her entire car in a custom design celebrating Shane Richie. The result? One of the most eye-catching, conversation-starting vehicle wraps we’ve ever created.
Working closely with Mandy, our in-house design team produced a striking montage featuring over 100 images of Shane Richie. From his early TV roles and West End performances to candid moments with his family, the car wrap tells a story that’s as colourful as it is personal. Every angle of the vehicle reveals a different scene, and every detail has been thoughtfully included to reflect Mandy’s admiration and commitment.
But this wasn’t just about fandom — it was about fundraising and remembering a loved one. Mandy’s mission is to raise money for charity in Noel’s name. With plans to open her own tattoo studio in Chorley soon, she hopes the car will not only turn heads but also encourage people to sponsor her vehicle or donate towards the cause.
The public response has been incredible. The Shane Richie tribute car has attracted national media attention, featuring in The Sun, The Daily Mail, Rock FM, The Guardian and numerous blogs and social platforms. It’s sparked conversation, admiration, and widespread support.
While we haven’t yet heard from Shane himself, we’re hopeful he’ll be touched by the tribute and inspired to lend his voice to Mandy’s fundraising campaign.
