Additional Wide Format Digital Printer

January 2009

We have invested further in our wide format digital printing facility by installing an additional Roland printer, matching laminator and enhanced software.

This superb machine, utilising state of the art inks, is recognised within the industry as offering the best quality available for banners, vehicle wrapping, stickers and much more.

New factory, showroom and offices

We have completed our move to our new custom refurbished industrial unit and offices in Chorley. The move was necessary to triple our capacity to meet the increasing demand for our quality products and services. At the same time we have added two additional members of staff in graphic design and administration.

Our new facility includes large sign workshops, vehicle graphic fitting bays, digital print room, graphic studio, larger offices and customer areas, plus a dedicated showroom. Benefits to our customers include an extended range of products, faster turnaround times, more creative designs and even more competitive pricing.

We have invested in a high precision Koolkut 3m wall panel saw. This highly accurate saw will allow us to fabricate larger signs with a greater degree of accuracy, additionally the saw will allow faster materials processing to give faster delivery and installation times.

Poppy Signs featured in Sign Directions

October / November 2009

We were delighted to feature on the front cover and centre pages of the respected industry magazine ‘Sign Directions’, for our work at ‘Playtown’, a flagship children’s entertainment centre in Southport.

This immense project included the complete corporate branding, theme design and character creation for the company, plus the manufacture and installation of 100’s of square metres of wall murals, playrooms, 3-D houses, LED signs, exterior signage and much more.

We created a larger than life colourful style that Sign Directions attributed to our “high octane creative ability”.

March / April 2009

Our high quality vehicle wrapping service was featured in two industry publications this quarter; ‘Sign Directions’, the magazine of the BSGA (British Signs and Graphics Association), and ‘By-Design’, the industry news publication of Metamark, the leading sign materials manufacturer.

This technically demanding project was to re-create Maltesers confectionary in wrap format. Thorough materials due diligence and careful colour calibration were required to create a wrap colour indistinguishable from the actual product. (Many packets of Maltesers were eaten during this process!). The quality of the wrap installation was such that to the untrained eye it was impossible to spot this was originally a white van.
